GigInsight Privacy Policy

Information you enter or create

GigInsight lets you enter and store information such as gig-work earnings, tips, incentives, mileage, work-time states, order timing and history, vehicle operating-cost settings, tax-reserve settings, gig profiles, and other app preferences.

This information is stored locally on your device and is used to provide the app's tracking, calculations, reports, and history.

Imports, exports, and backups

GigInsight can import supported files and can export or share backups or reports when you choose to do so. Imported data is processed for app functionality. When you export or share a file, your device's system file picker or share interface may let you choose another app or storage provider. GigInsight does not automatically send those files to the developer.

Data collection and sharing

The current version of GigInsight does not operate a developer-controlled cloud backend and does not collect or transmit your gig-work records to the developer. GigInsight does not sell or rent your personal information.

The current version does not use third-party advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs.

Location

The current version of GigInsight does not automatically track GPS location or collect precise or approximate location data.

Notifications and background operation

Depending on platform and version, GigInsight may use operating-system notifications and background or foreground execution features to support user-started timers and keep timer status available while the app is not in the foreground. This functionality does not, by itself, send your timer data to the developer.

Accounts and authentication

The current version does not require a GigInsight account or sign-in.

Data retention and deletion

Your app data remains on your device until you delete records in the app, clear the app's storage where supported, or uninstall the app. Any backup files you create are controlled by you and remain wherever you choose to save or share them.

Security

GigInsight keeps its working data in the app's local device storage rather than sending it to a developer-controlled server. Access to that data is protected by the security controls of your device. Exported backups or reports are stored only in locations you choose, so you should protect those files according to the sensitivity of the information they contain.

Children

GigInsight is intended for gig workers and is not directed to children.

Future features and policy changes

If GigInsight later adds features such as cloud accounts, analytics, advertising, subscriptions, automatic GPS mileage tracking, or other data-processing features, this Privacy Policy and the applicable app-store disclosures will be updated as appropriate before or when those features are released.
